Best measure the camera with the lens and compare to the internal dimensions quoted in the review above.

Bear in mind that if the lens extends by 4-5cm or so it will still fit at the case will extend if they other dimensions are not completely tight.

Pretty late to the party, but I dropped my Desire HD from one meter today, face down. The front screen is completely shattered, so yeah it does happen with gorilla glass too.

Still wating for a case (apparently will be delivered in 12 days from now)… It fell out of my pocket and that is exactly like yours No insurance oh well, now I have to decide:
1. Fix the screen OR
2. Get the new Nexus 4.

I was skeptical about white magic too but when i got the xperia p i fell in love with it. It looks fantastic! I am not too sure if IT saves battery though as battery life on the xperia p is very poor but i think thats mainly down to the small battery.
I will say this though, its much better than amoled. Every time ive handled the s3 i have been disgusted by the quality of the colour saturation and radioactive colours. Not to mention the screen burn problems ive heard about.
I wish they had put white magic in the Xperia T.

What a sweet device. This is going to be my next smartphone.

Been waiting for a Nexus with an IPS screen since I really didn’t like the AMOLEDs in the previous Nexuses. Really nice specs too and nice looking!

Just waiting to see what goodies the next version of Android is going to bring!

Mine has rebooted 3 times today sofar … making a call, composing a text message and attempting to search for a contact. I cannot find a consistent pattern. I have very few apps loaded.

Awesome comparison. Have the One X and the SGS III is no competition. As the article describes the One X is much brighter and colors are more real.

No it wouldn’t. The Nano VI is a tight fit.

The Nano VII would, but it does leave some space vertically. Still it shouldn’t let the camera move around too much as it is a good fit in the other dimensions.

Would the nano VI fit the x100 with a hood? Or would that be too snug? Also, it kind of looks like there’s a bit of space above the x100 in the nano VII. Is that enough space to make it wiggle around inside the case?

i couldn’t agree more with this. nobody tell us about the yellowish screen. but i saw many (or every) samsung smartphone with Amoled screen that looks yellowish. At first, i tought it looks yellowish because something is wrong with my vision. Many reviews at youtube did not mention about yellowish screen, and i didn’t see yellowish screen on those videos. Then i found this review that noticed the yellowish color in samsung’s screen. I crush on galaxy nexus very much, except the yellowish screen. Now i wait for Xperia Nexus that likely has bravia engine and white magic on its screen!

I tried using ptp and it was very glitchy, half the time iPhoto wouldnt even pickup my nexus and when it did it would conk out after a couple of pictures.

Google have released a little utility for mac which lets you copy files to/off android devices, so I just copy the pictures off then import them from a folder.

Hi, excellent article. Im considering right now moving to digital, i have a quite large collection of lps, but i guess they just take lots of physical space in my house. Adding to that, everytime you play the records, they are losing a bit of quality and deteriorating (yes, slowly, but they do!). It will be hard, because i really love the experience of sitting down and playing vinyl, but digital is far more convenient and its moving forward in giant steps as quality concerns. I think i made the decision after i bought a projector, i use it with a wdtv live, its a little media player which can storage audio and video files, from external drive or lan, and its the most convenient way ive seen to play mediafiles.

Im running Windows XP and my Galaxy Nexus shows up as a Music Player/Media Device. When i go into Windows Media Player or into my phone’s folders through the computer and go into my music folder I dont see anything. No media files appear on my computer. And yet my Nexus sees all of my music. I cant transfer music to my Computer from GN because of this. I’ve scoured the web for a solution and ending up walking around in circles.

Thank you for that down to earth user review. I’ve bought mine yesterday …downloaded new firmware 1.21 and am looking forward to using it. I thought that I noticed leaf shutter sticking yesterday but seems fine now. Serial number 14– prefix. I agree with everything written about x-100′s but for me it’s ….now almost perfect. I’ve finally found something as nice as my old Kodak Retina 111c !!
