Thank you for that down to earth user review. I’ve bought mine yesterday …downloaded new firmware 1.21 and am looking forward to using it. I thought that I noticed leaf shutter sticking yesterday but seems fine now. Serial number 14– prefix. I agree with everything written about x-100′s but for me it’s ….now almost perfect. I’ve finally found something as nice as my old Kodak Retina 111c !!

Mine just says it couldn’t find some sort of wizard. I mean, it finds the Galaxy (it says “found new something, Galaxy”) but after that it says something about USB port 2.0. What should I do to make my computer recognize my phone?

I have the latest Nexus Galaxy and the Nexus S. About
2 weeks ago my nexus S was upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich. Now I am unable to
transfer files to my PCs on both phones. One PC runs Windows 7 64 bit and the
other runs Vista.

When I plug in the USB-cable, any of the phoneson any
of the computers I am told, that the USB-device in unknown.

I have searched the net for drivers or other solution,
but have not found it. It makes no diff whether is use MTP or PTP

Though, in retrospect, that’s probably why televisions are measured diagonally. They knew, in advance, that the screens would be getting longer, and to measure them that way enables them to sell smaller televisions at higher printed measurements.

A CRT television has 240 active lines of resolution (240i), and has a 4:3 aspect ratio.

A standard HD television has 1080 total lines of resolution (all active simultaneously, 1080p), and an aspect ratio of 16:9.

Now, one could take the new length of the standard HD television into consideration (it’s 50% longer and has approximately 2.5 times the active columns of resolution), but we don’t measure resolution that way.

I repeat, WE DON’T MEASURE RESOLUTION THAT WAY. To measure it that way for a new product is fraudulently misrepresenting the quality of the television.

But only TWICE the resolution. Only TWICE the picture quality.

2160 lines of resolution is 2160 lines of resolution. Not 4000. 2160 does not equal 4000. What we need is for watchdogs (including CR) to call these criminals on the fraud that is to claim their product is something it isn’t.

To continue to use the term 4K resolution is, as far as I’m concerned, fraud, even if you don’t know better. Why? Because it allows these criminals’ fraud to work. I expect you will write an article and get everyone in the tech business to expose this fraud. Failure to do so would be fraud.

Technically 4K should be reserved for cinema and Quad HD for TVs so yeah it’s wrong to call everything 4K.

But both of these have more than four times the pixels of 1080p since you have two times length and two times height. So consumer reports isn’t lying either.

1080p: 2.1megapixels
QFHD: 8.3megapixels
4K: 8.85megapixels

Four times as much information.

Why switch to this version of measurement all of a sudden? To the point where even Consumer Reports magazine is claiming it’s four times the current resolution in televisions?

Logic and history dictates to defraud people into buying something they think is something else. To call the resolution 4K is to be complicit in fraud.

They explain it clearly right at the top, that 4K is a digital cinema term and that it measures the horizontal resolution, just like 2K before it. It’s different from digital TV resolutions. Oh and Stuff-Review is about as independent as they get.

Why don’t we call this what it is? It’s 2160p. There is no such thing as 4K resolution. How much are they paying you to call it double what it really is?

Or are you just one of those idiots who refers to 540i as 1080i because they just don’t know how resolution is measured.

Yeah it is a good action take by you that before using instruments from old stock all equipments should be checked because if instrument is useless then its chances of having error becomes increases. So. it is better to check them at least once before using.

This is easy. On the curtain, click the notification that says you’re connected to a computer, then in the menu that appears, change from MTP to PTP. PTP is supposed natively by iPhoto.

I’ve been trying to get the update for days now and nothing worked, didn’t want to root and lose all my data. Glad I held out.

I had to repeat the process 14-15 times but it finally worked. Smooth OTA install is the best. Rocking Android 4.0.4 now!

Thanks for clearing this up. I think im going to return my phone due to the lack of this feature alone. I am an electrical engineer and im always used to connecting my old phone to various Tektronix Oscilloscopes in order to capure screen plots and quickly and to send them out. Now I need to grab a USB stick but also transfer the images to a PC or laptop which is not always around me depending on were im working.

The exposure compensation dial on top of the camera should have a lock on it. It is very easy to accidentally move this dial and not realize it.
