Samsung Galaxy S III unboxing video

The Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone is said to hit retail stores on May 29th in Europe, but that didn’t stop an Italian blog from getting hold of a boxed unit now, and you know what this means, video action!

The video, which you’ll find embedded below, includes an unboxing of the most anticipated smartphone, well at least for this month, the 4.8-inch Android 4.0 Galaxy S III (SGS3). There’s also a pretty nice size comparison between the SGS3 and the Galaxy Note, Galaxy Nexus (which we’ve reviewed in great length here), Galaxy S II and the HTC One X and One S.

Pentax K-01 MILC hands-on

The Pentax K-01 mirrorless camera surely has a unique design, it’s small but thick, as a brick. There’s a reason for that though, as it can accept the huge number of K-mount lenses, designers had to maintain the format’s 45.46 mm flange back distance (the distance from the lens mount to the sensor). To compare, Micro Four Thirds has a 20mm flange back, Sony’s E-mount 18mm and Fujifilm’s new X-mount just 17.7mm.

Love it or hate it, it’s got some pretty tasty internals, including the same excellent 16.28-megapixel APS-C sensor as the Pentax K-5, of course compatibility with excellent Pentax APS-C SLR glass, 1080p video capabilities and even an HDR mode directly selectable on the mode dial — you can find a full list of specs and pictures in our initial coverage here.

Fujifilm X-Pro1 hands-on videos preview

Sure specs, pictures and comparisons are great, but we are sure you want to see Fujifilm’s latest marvel in action. We are not sure how else to foreword this, other than grab your pop-corn, sit comfortably and prepare for a total of 40 minutes of manual knob turning, metal body handling, hybrid viewfinder switching, retro camera lust.

The Fuji Guys, Fujifilm’s Canadian duo, take you on a video tour of every minute detail around the new X-Pro1 interchangeable lens camera. Head over after the break for the three hands-on videos and be sure to check out the rest of our coverage as well.
